***Bedford have been forced into two late changes for today's game. Ollie Dodge is suffering from sickness so will be replaced in the centre by Rich Lane while Will Hooley suffered a minor hamstring injury and his place on the replacements bench is filled by Chris Czekaj***

Bedford Blues turn pink this weekend as they welcome the Ospreys Premiership Select to Goldington Road in Round Two of the British & Irish Cup.

Having kicked off the British & Irish Cup with a bonus point win against Nottingham last weekend, the Blues will be hoping for much more of the same as they face off against the Swansea-based side.

Looking ahead to the game, Blues coach Alex Rae said: "While we were really pleased to pick up five points against Nottingham last week, there was a slight sense of disappointment that we allowed them back into the game and they were able to claim a try bonus point. We know that we will need to tighten up, especially against opponents like the Ospreys.

"While we don't know too much about the Ospreys, we are fully aware that they are a young, highly driven team with some really impressive players amongst their ranks. Add to that the England versus Wales aspect and I'm sure that we can expect an action-packed encounter of the highest order."

Bedford continue to make use of their squad for the fixture this weekend as Mike Le Bourgeois and Dean Adamson return to the backs while Jacob Fields, Alex Penny, Will Carrick-Smith and Ben Adams all come into the pack.

While everything is set up for a huge encounter on the pitch, there will be plenty happening off the field as the match is also the annual Ladies Day fixture when Bedford Blues will be raising money for MacMillan Cancer Care. There will be two-for-one entry for ladies on the gate as well as complimentary wine on arrival to the Blues Marquee, thanks to Marstons and the Eagle Brewery.

The Blues will also be back in pink on the pitch as the Bedford XV will be donning a one-off jersey to celebrate the day with all proceeds raised from the auction donated to the charity.

Fire Safety Services are once again sponsoring the event which will see a host of other treats available in the marquee throughout the day including beauty treatments courtesy of 5th Avenue Hair and Beauty, live music from Sophia Soul, cakes from Crumbs, Blind Bear Wine and Gin Bar, an ice cream tricycle from Gelato John’s, a jewellery stand from Baker Brothers and much, much more.

There will also be opportunities to get your hands on some exclusive prizes through the Blues auction and raffle which is being run by Macmillan volunteers. On top of all that there will be a mascot race, fundraising games and a best-dressed lady competition.
