*Following last night's training session, Bedford Blues have been forced into a late change to their team to face London Scottish as George Perkins has been ruled out with injury. Pat Tapley will replace Perkins on the right wing.*

It'll be Friday Night Lights for a second time at Goldington Road this season as Bedford Blues prepare to host London Scottish in the Greene King IPA Championship.

The two teams kicked off 2016 with Bedford racking up a 31-19 victory in front of over 4000 fans but the Exiles had previously recorded a 24-12 win in the reverse fixture in September 2015.

Bedford Blues Community Rugby are delighted to announce details on a special one-day Christmas Rugby Camp to be held on Wednesday 21st December at Goldington Road.

The festive camp, ‘Train like a Blue’, is open to players of ages 10-18 of all abilities and will give a unique insight for youngsters who aspire to be Blues stars of the future. Open to both boys and girls, the camp is the perfect early Christmas present.

The Blues return home this Friday night under the lights as they welcome London Scottish to Goldington Road in another pivotal Championship encounter (KO 19:45).

Buoyed by last weekend’s bonus point victory over fellow Exiles, London Welsh, Mike Rayer’s men will be looking for another improved performance against Peter Richard’s side, who will be hurting from their previous outing in a defeat to close rivals Richmond.

Bedford Blues Community are pleased to announce a new partner for the remaining school holiday rugby camps this season in Heroic Pubs who run pubs in Houghton Conquest and Aspley Guise.

The Blues Community Department, only started in August 2016, has gone from strength to strength in a short period under Head of Community, Ben Gulliver, and is due to launch a Christmas rugby camp shortly. Check the website for details.

Bedford Blues put in a huge performance at Old Deer Park on Saturday afternoon to pick up a valuable bonus point win over an in-form London Welsh.

The turnaround in the performance from the disappointing outing against Nottingham a fortnight ago was clear for all to see as the Blues fought valiantly from start to finish and crossed the whitewash four times including twice in the final two minutes of the game.
