The Blues are delighted to unveil their Ladies Day jersey ahead of this Saturday’s match against Ospreys in the British & Irish Cup (KO 3pm).

Mike Rayer’s men will again run out in a limited edition pink shirt with stripes of green in support of Macmillan Cancer Support and Breast Cancer awareness.

The tenth year of Ladies Day and with a new charity partner, the club are hopeful of raising a significant sum for a very worthwhile cause.

Bedford Blues are pleased to launch their tenth Ladies Day this Saturday 21st October against Ospreys Premiership Select. Goldington Road will turn pink (with a touch of green) in partnership with new chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Still in support of breast cancer, the chosen charity is even closer to the club’s heart this season. Working closely with Macmillan, the Blues have plans in place to mark the landmark occasion in style.

Don’t miss out on the Followers’ fabulous Autumn Ball on Saturday 11th November in the Blues Marquee.

Bedford’s one and only Sam Roberts has some rip-roaring fun lined up with critically acclaimed band, Blurred Lines, the highlight of the evening playing their fantastic set at Goldington Road. Check them out for a preview at http://www.silverdogmusic.co.uk/blurred-lines.htm.

Bedford Blues would like to send best wishes to fullback James Wilson who has joined Premiership side Bath Rugby.

James signed a short-term deal with Bedford Blues in September and featured in two Championship games against Ealing Trailfinders and Bristol.

Everyone at Goldington Road would like to wish James all the best at the Recreation Ground.

Bedford Blues opened their British & Irish Cup campaign with a bonus point win over Nottingham at Lady Bay on Sunday afternoon.

Six tries ensured that the Blues headed home with maximum points but they were a little disappointed that Nottingham managed to run in four tries of their own to secure a bonus point of their own.

The game was only two minutes old when the Blues opened the scoring. Following on from his superb run last weekend to set up a try for Jordan Burns, George Edgson showed more skills to go on a mazing run to score but the extras went begging.
