Good effort from the Blues. It wasn't the rout that Alan predicted. Nottingham beat Bristol, who got the losing bonus point, as did we. Still all to play for in the rest of the season. Nottingham move ahead of us with a game in hand but have Newcastle to face. Bristol also have a game in hand but are nine points adrift. 2/3 at the death is still on.
Newcastle got a fright tonight. Hope this gives the self belief back to the boys that has been lacking lately. They fronted up well tonight (not allowed to man up apparently Smile ). Well done to the Blues. If we get to the final and the opposition is Falcons, we could provide an upset.

Gutted. Not sure where the 11 mins extra time came from!!! It was all Bedford for most of the game.

Luckily by that stage I was listening to Neil Roy online.

Sounded like a great performance & really unlucky at the end. We've had plenty of luck with last minute scores this season just not our turn tonight.

Well done Bedford - who else had the nerve to predict the score? 10 mins injury time! What game was it that we won after a similar amount of injury time? I can't remember. It all evens out over the season does it not?

Following twitter and listening to the radio was like following to different games! Twitter was a lot twat… Why take of Fearns (we lost control of the scrum when he went off) and why why why change the half backs who were absolutely controlling the game?

Match report on the home page sums it up perfectly. So proud of the boys tonight, everybody gave 100% and the commitment was tremendous. Says it all when one of the smallest people on the pitch got carded for fighting! A freak try on 40 minutes kept Falcons in it and we couldn't quite hold on after 90 minutes.

Thought our tactics were spot on and we took the points when in their half. Falcons looked pretty ordinary for most of the match and really missed Gopperth when he was carded with JS.

Can't argue with the changes, Miles didn't go off, Brendan did, Jake came on and played centre with Mark Atkinson going to full back. Perhaps Toops was unlucky to get carded shortly after coming on but Lady Luck wasn't with us tonight.

Every Blues player, deserves a huge pat on the back, this was the perfect riposte after last week.

Well done Blues.

Alan

Bad luck lads ! Must have been very disappointing to have it snatched away so late in the game. Let's see a similar gutsy performance against Donny next at home. That needs to be a 5 pointer to keep the chasing pack at bay. WELL DONE YOU BLUES!!!

Having been at the game I was gutted for the players after the effort they put in to that game, deserved the win, but that's sport for you. Lots of Newcastle fans after the game agreed the better team lost, even Dean Richards said so to a Newcastle reporter, saying our game management and kicking was superior to theirs.
Proud night to be a Bedford Blue player and supporter, games like that are why we love it so much. Very Happy

Sometimes the performance matters more than the result. A day for great pride and the perfect antidote to recent disappointments.
