No Titch not the pop band - I am talking about someone being extremely offensive to any normal thinking person - the phrase "man up" is offensive to men to women and trans gender. This phrase suggests confrontation and possible aggression: these traits are not just male traits. Woman have struggled for equality for many many years and phrases such as this do nothing to enhance their cause. By all means keep the poll we all have the right to free speech, however, please remove this extremely offensive statement.

Where shall I start............

1) Diversity are a dance troop not a pop band.

2) are you implying I'm not a 'normal thinking person'?

3) as you are replying to a previous thread why not post your response there instead of starting a new thread?

4) 'man up' was actually the politest phrase I could think of.

5) Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am NOT confrontational or aggressive. If you found my post offensive how do you think your comments make the management team feel??

Alan,
What absolute bo****ks. The term Man up refers to taking ones place in a military sense. In a defensive line, at the ramparts etc.
The definition of Man in this sense is "a member of the species Homo sapiens or all the members of this species collectively, without regard to sex"
I have often thought that political correctness can often be a symptom of ignorance but I thought you are better than that, or are you just fishing again after Saturday's Derby match.

Titch - sorry thanks. For putting me straight about Diversity and no I don't know you ( difficult when people hide behind silly names on the site). See the score on your poll is 13 - 12 which will be closer than the score tonight as we get stuffed

Tim : long time no see - you know better than that

The boys need a good performance tonight. All the frustration from last weeks appalling game need to come out tonight on the field. We need to man up and pump the living daylights out of the Falcons.

Come on you Bluesssssssssssssss
