| So with Pritchard potentially out for the season now, and with regular stand ins Sacha Harding also probably out for the season and Alex Rae now at Wasps, who should be our captain for the rest of the season? Personally, I'm not sure there are any outstanding candidates, but my vote goes to Neil Cochrane |

It's a good point, Toops or Mike Howard for me. _________________ I want you all to sort yourselves alphabetically by height, pair up in 3's and line up in a circle. |

| Surely it has to be someone who is a "first pick" Neil Cochrane and Mike Howard fill that I think. Out wider, maybe Mark Atkinson. |

Following on from that, firstly, that's a bad blow losing Pritch from the captaincy point of view on it's own. Hope you are fit again soon.
If the Sarries link is really worth anything I believe now is the time for one or two of the dual reg players to be seen at G.R. Ben Ransom springs to mind, straight into the fullback slot. It seems to have been us lending them players recently, now it should be their turn. |

only real choice is Mike Howard (kiss of death) - the captain should though be a back, better view of the game and they tend to be, how can I say it, "better thinkers" in my opinion. So if pushed the newly signed MD would be my second pick _________________ zero zero one zero zero |

| If you want someone who leads by example, what about Don Barrell. Assuming he is available. |

Been thinking about this one. The only person who seems to start every week is Mike Howard. I regard him as one of the senior players, so he would be my choice. Brendan a good player that he is tends not to be very vocal on the pitch, plus he doesn't always start. Not sure a DR player would go down well with the rest of the team.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm something for Mr R to sort and quickly in time for Newcastle on Friday. Then again not sure anyone would want to volunteer for that encounter, although would look good on CV if we win. Perhaps it's time that Mr R put his boots on and slotted himself into full back, he could do with losing a few pounds. _________________ It's Jonathan really, dodgy keyboard when I registered |

What an inspired choice by Mr Rayer - Darren Fox, didn't see that one coming. One thing's certain, there'll be no lack of commitment by him, or the rest of the team. Also like Mylo starting at fly half.
Reasonable weather here in Newcastle at the moment, might stay dry for the match.

| Will certainly lead by example. I wonder if Cochrane or Toops would have been captain if picked though. |

Darren Fox - exceptional playing/disciplinary record over many years at a high level of rugby, good choice. _________________ Devon Lady |

| Apart from away to Henley a few years ago when he was on the pitch about as long as an english summer. |

I didn't see that one coming either, a good choice.
He was working like a Trojan last Saturday, tackling non stop and getting in the break down.

Yep plenty of experience, forgot about him. Think he may have captained Cambridge in the past, not sure.
Anyway, with more rotation than France I hope it works this week. _________________ It's Jonathan really, dodgy keyboard when I registered |
