we have good if not some great players playing like they have no idea - this is a crisis not a problem - Mike really should be pitch side on match days getting involved and I never saw him yesterday but hey I am getting old. We change things now and give the new manager a few games before the start of next season - when is the last time we played well? _________________ zero zero one zero zero |

what position are we in the league?
considering our position, there would be a lot of managers on larger budgets, below us fearing for their jobs! |

Alan. Mike was where he always is at home games. He watches the first half from the hospitality balcony and the second half from the stand/pitchside. The coaching team and medical staff are in linked up to each other with ear pieces and radios so they can easily and quickly get messages to and from the pitch.
Just because Mike's not jumping up and down on the touch line some coaches do it doesn't mean he's not a games. He's got his own style of coaching/managing a squad and as we're second in the league it's obviously working.
Yes there's been a couple of matches recently when things may not of gone totally to plan but we're still second, and we're still through to the next round of the Cup.
I'm going to climb down from my soapbox now. _________________ My Rehab Challenges. 2 walks on consecutive weekends......

We're definitely going through a mini-crisis on the pitch at the moment but to suggest Mike should be on the way out is ridiculous...no surprise it has come from a footy fan!
When you're on the touchline, it is very easy to get carried away with the emotion of the game and lose focus on what's working and what isn't.
By standing up at the balcony, Mike will have a great view of how the 30 players are moving round the pitch and how each side is playing tactically. Where is there space? How are players moving both on and off the ball? Are players doing the job asked of them?
Half time is realistically the last time you can properly affect the game in Mikes role (aside from the odd bit of information from pitchside) which is probably why in the second half he comes back down.
Anywho...a cheeky win up at Kingston Park this Friday and all will be well again |

| My comment was meant to be as ridiculous as the title of the thread. |

Mike could sit in the changing room all game for all I care, once the game kicks off there is little he can do or say.
It's what is achieved and learnt in training, and gone through during the warm up etc and pre-match talk.
I keep having to remind myself, we are second in the league?????
So we've had a tough start to the year, but would we want us hitting top form now? I'd rather we peaked and turned it round for the cup and play offs.
So who would have as replacement manager? Is there anybody better in our league or our budget?
Bet a lot of welsh clubs etc would want mike as a manager, in a shot!
I actually think one day mike will move to a bigger club or hopefully take us up, and I see him as a future manager of Wales! |

I think Alan would make a good DoR, he has the right attitude when it comes to motivating, coaching and having been a senior manager himself, clearly has the right leadership qualities. Plus he know's something about both shaped balls and sit's in the shed for both halves not just the one. Perhaps when it is time for a change he should consider putting his application in. I'm sure it would be well received. _________________ It's Jonathan really, dodgy keyboard when I registered |
