Lots of discussion has gone on before about covered terraces for Bedford.
You will be able to see just what has been achieved at Jersey when some of you go over in September. They really are functionable.
Jersey are investing a lot of money into the ground and are currently carrying out more improvements
Jersey rugby certainly live within their means, do not spend what they do not have, and certainly live within their means with lots of ambition for what they are going to do. |
What are they going to do? |

Planning permissions have been granted and work is ongoing. Extra car parking is in place - if you are driving to the ground in September allow extra time to get in, it can be a nightmare.
Also extra space has been created for standing spectators in readiness for the new season.
There is a lot of activity going on at their ground at this moment in time. _________________ Devon Lady |

At this moment in time should think not though it is not through lack of ambition, its lack of land. Suppose they could take over the airport then they could build to their hearts content. _________________ Devon Lady |

No no "old School" completely wrong. Am busy studying Ospreys in the UK at the moment (down boys not the Ospreys) so when my birds fly off to warmer climes I suppose I could start following Falcons instead - now follow that one old school, cos I know you have the shotgun loaded:)- _________________ Devon Lady |

I was hoping that someone could tell me what our stated capacity was when we were last in the Premiership, will all the temporary stands in place. _________________ It's Jonathan really, dodgy keyboard when I registered |

Think Guernsey are playing in such a venue.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Footes_Lane
The venue si being used by Combined Counties League Premier division team Guernsey FC who won division One last season by a mile. They are in basically United Counties League, and boosted the attendances for the season http://www.combinedcountiesleague.co.uk/div1attendances.htm
But the facility is also used by Guernsey RFC who next year are in National 3 London and SE. So when we make the trip to Jersey, Barnes RFC will be heading to Guernsey. |

JW, when we played Quins it was 5,500 I think. The tent and other work done at GR would limit where you could put temp stands. Be like thew Southern Hemisphere and put a Jumbotron Screen on the training pitch.
Does the present crowd warrant all of this work? Build it and they will come was only a phrase in a work of fiction starring Robert Redford. |
