I thought he was a shoe in for Saracens?
Would like to see him at least another season at the blues, establish himself and not make the same mistake as billy who I think moved a season too early. |

So it's Wasps - didn't see that one coming. Hope it's not a season too soon and Josh doesn't get splinters in his backside warming the bench.
Important enough announcement to make it on BBC national radio.
Great advertisement for the club and Championship Rugby, yet again.

| Considering Wasps wingers are Wade and Varndell who are currently the top 2 try scorers in the Premiership, I worry Bassett's appearances may be limited. If Lancaster has any sense Wade will be a regular in the England team next season so hopefully Josh will get his chance then |

Well done to Josh, that is fantastic news. Clearly everyone associated with the club should also be praised for helping to develop yet another premiership player. The notice seems to say that we will still have Josh until the end of the season, if so then I am sure that he would like to carry on scoring like he did in Cornwall last weekend, he can be the Championship’s top try scorer for the second season running.
Cheers everyone, see you on Saturday

| We already have Mark Kohler. Think he deserves his chance. A new face may come from the Mobbs match. |

Well done to Josh and all those at the club who have had a hand in his development. A great testament to the club and the player. _________________ Tramps like us, baby we were born to run. |

all the best josh, maybe as a farewell present we could get him a set of thermals, a seat cushion and a big coat as I have a feeling he'll spend a lot of tie trying to keep warm on the bench or up in the stands watching his more experienced team mates.
sorry if I seem a bit cynical but I'm still not buying into this 'isn't it wonderful how all our best players leave, and we don't get to keep them'
a while back my home town football club were renowned for this, as are my favourite football team southampton, believe me it gets less satisfying as time goes on.
but all our players deserve there chance and I'd like to think one day we can hold onto a few and go with them into the premiership.... |

Lets be honest, we will never keep our best players unless we are a premiership side..... Which we are not- and Probably won't be for the foreseeable future.
The best we can hope for is to continue to unearth and nurture these amazing talents we have, develop them into the stars of the future and hope they go on to fulfil their potential.
Whether we get financial compensation doesn't really matter in the long term. These guys go off to their new clubs and wax lyrical about what a great setup we have here. What better recommendation to get new players into the club.
Alternatively we could hope Josh breaks something in the next few weeks and Wasps change their mind!....
Reckon it's only injuries that have kept Sacha with us so long! |
