You can also add Mako Vunipola.
I'm not sure if Bedford Blues can claim to have had much influence in his development though it certainly looks as if Nosh might have Wink

I was particularly pleased to read this article-for what seems like years now I have been boring family and friends while watching internationals, premier league games, Heineken cup games etc by saying "he used to play fro Bedford" every five minutes. Now I can point to the article and say "I told you so".
It'll probably cost me quite a few family and friends.....

Brilliant piece, and long overdue recognition for the club.

And this is just the current crop of players! Looking back there is a fair selection that have gone on to pull on various national jersies.

a copy should be given to all prospective players at contract negotiations and a framed copy in the changing rooms!

if you've got ambition come to the blues to be noticed!

....also add Ben youngs.

In future years I would tip Ben Ransom and James Stephenson to join them.

It would be nice to think that someone in the RFU might read this article and realise what an important role the Championship plays in the development of young players. There is no substitute for game time in competitive matches which they often don't get as part of the large squads of the premiership teams.

Here's a team;

1. Ben Alexander
2. Tom Youngs
3. Dan Cole
4. Mouritz Botha
5. George Kruis
6. Jonathan Fisher
7. Will Fraser
8. Jackson Wray

9. Karl Dickson
10. Owen Farrell

11. Will Harries
12. Billy Twelvetrees
13. Duncan Taylor
14. James Short
15. Luke Fielden

They'd do alright...

I'd pick Soane over Ben Alexander any day.
Mind you I'd pick JEAN Alexander over Ben Alexander... Laughing
