The 2017 RBS Six Nations is underway after a tense opening weekend and looks set to be another close competition with Scotland edging an Ireland side who beat the All Blacks a few months back, England narrowly defeating France in a match which could have gone either way and Italy leading Wales at half-time before crumbling late on.

So where better to take in the international fixtures than on the screens at Goldington Road and supporting your local club.

Next Saturday 11th February it’s the big one as Wales taken on England in Cardiff, and with no fixture for the Blues, it’s the perfect excuse to get back to the home of Bedford rugby.

Doors will open at 2pm in the upstairs Eagle Bar for the first match between Italy and Ireland with Happy Hour on all alcoholic draught drinks, except Estrella, between 2-3pm and 4-5pm. Kick-off is at 2:25pm and 4:50pm respectively, and at £3 a pint it’s worth coming along to show your colours.

The next round of fixtures takes place the same weekend as Blues host Ealing so enjoy three matches on Saturday 25 February with Scotland v Wales kicking off half hour before Bedford and then Ireland v France after the main event. A special match day happy hour will take place in the marquee between 6pm and 7pm.

The Eagle Bar will be open once again on Saturday 11th March as England host Scotland in the Calcutta Cup and Italy face France in the curtain raiser. Doors open at 1:30pm as the first game kicks off and double Happy Hour will take place up to 3:30pm before England get underway.

Finally we are open for Grand Slam Saturday in the Blues Marquee as part of our two-day beer and rugby festival. Shown on the big screen and plasma TVs, doors open at 12 noon for a full day and reduced beer prices.

For all the above fixtures, excluding Blues match against Ealing Trailfinders, supporters are welcome to bring their own food in or order a takeaway.
