Fresh off the back of securing a Championship play-off semi-final the Blues return home this Saturday for a St George’s Day celebration in front of our loyal home supporters as Bedford face Bristol for the first of three meetings in three weeks in our End of Season Family Party (KO 3pm).

This weekend’s match is quickly becoming a game of chess as everyone is guessing which Bristol side will turn out as the promotion favourites arrive in Bedford intent on levelling this year’s record having lost twice to the Blues and won just once.

Whilst we are set for a superb on-field spectacle, we have plenty of off-field activity to keep you entertained from the time gates open right through to the late evening.

On arrival why not pick up a match programme and head to one of the bars – our choice would be the Eagle Bar to sample one of this week’s Guest Ale and official St George’s Day beer; Wells’ Bombardier. You will also find the marquee decorated in national colours and post-match offering a Bombardier bottle deal that even beats Happy Hour.

Activities for the kids include an inflatable obstacle course, face painting and an informal rugby training session on the back pitch prior to kick off.

Whilst for all the family we have a live performance from the Bedford Town Band as we enter the patriotic spirit.

This week’s SSG Services Guard of Honour will be Bedford Cubs and Scouts Group, let’s give them and the Bedford Bear a loud cheer as the teams run out on to the pitch.

After the match head to the Blues Marquee for the Anglian Fasteners’ Man of the Match presentation and enjoy live music from Mark Calder as the post-match party starts.

Then at 6:15pm in the marquee the Blues squad will enter for an end of season forum with MC Martin Hynes and young William Roberts leading a Q&A with the players, as well as presentations from the Followers’ Association and Player of the Year Award.

Gates open at 12 noon, arrive early to avoid the queues, tickets are available online with a £2.00 discount at
