Bedford Blues have been instructed by the RFU in accordance with the regulations to move the Kick Off time to 5pm for their upcoming Greene King Championship match vs Rotherham Titans on Saturday 29th March.

Bedford Chairman Geoff Irvine Said “We’re not happy about it and did everything in our power to offer compromises to resolve the issue, but at the end of the day they’re the regulations and we’ve been forced to abide by them.

We have always cooperated with SKY in the past, however gates this season have already been severely hit by a Sunday Kick Off to accommodate the TV schedule & some horrific weather on New Year’s Day so we’re desperate to play at times that best suit our loyal supporters.”

Nevertheless the club intend to try and make the best out of a bad situation so the ground and bars will be open from 1pm, with an extra course to be added to the hospitality menu and some special guest speakers drafted in to entertain those in the marquee before the match.

If you’re after a full afternoon of sport the bars will be showing England v South Africa live in the World Twenty20 Cup from 1:30pm which will take you through to the Blues kick off at 5pm.
