Perfect Player: Here is the opportunity to play Dr Frankenstein and take attributes from any player in the world past or present to make up the ultimate rugby player for your position.
Strength: Andrew Sheridan – an absolute unit in the gym
Size: Victor Matfield – an excellent size for a lock
Athleticism: Richie McCaw – the man never stops… Ever!!!
Winning lineout ball: Victor Matfield – he is quite simply a lineout genius
Handling: I’m not the best judge on this are but I’d have to go for Sonny Bill Williams
Hitting rucks and mauls: Bakkies Botha – you can rely on him to smash a ruck when needed
Tackling: Jacques Burger – not only can the man tackle, but he has a massive work ethic
Ball carrying: Jonah Lomu – There was just no way of stopping this guy
And finally… legendary drinking ability: I was going to say Brendan Burke as he’s only sober when he’s playing (well, sometimes). But the award has to go to Ian Vass as he is a pure gentleman when he’s had a few halves.
