Scrum half and assistant coach Lee Dickson made an immediate impact after switching Franklin's Gardens for Goldington Road at the start of the 2017/18 season.

Dickson's rugby nous was clear for all to see as he lit up the Championship in his first season with the Blues and was only a whisker away from being named in the Championship Dream Team. 

The scrum half played 250 times for Northampton Saints since joining from Newcastle Falcons in 2008, featuring in eight cup finals, including both the Aviva Premiership and Amlin Challenge Cup finals of 2014 and was also a try scorer as the Saints won the LV= Cup for the first time in 2010 as well as crossing the whitewash again in the 2013 Aviva Premiership final.
 
After making his England debut in the 2012 Six Nations as a replacement in England’s first match under new head coach Stuart Lancaster against Scotland at Murrayfield, Dickson went on to be capped 18 times by his country.

Dickson was also named Blues skipper ahead of the 2018/19 Championship season
