OCTOBER IS BLUES MONTH WITH THREE ON THE BOUNCE

It will be a busy October at Goldington Road with Bedford Blues hosting three home games back to back including newly promoted Richmond next up, before Friday night lights v Rotherham Titans and the annual Ladies Day fixture on Saturday 15th against Newport Gwent Dragons.

Last season’s National One title winners, Richmond, arrive in Bedford on Saturday 1st October in a match Mike Rayer’s men will certainly be targeting on home soil having performed impressively versus London Irish last time out.

The Club are looking forward to renewing ties with the side from the capital with much planned off the field also, there is a special student deal to mark the return of term-time, email season@bedfordrugby.co.uk for a FREE voucher.

Match Sponsor for the day is Young’s London Stout with a special offer running post-match in the upstairs Eagle Bar and Blues Marquee where you will find the Michael R Peters Final Whistle and live music respectively.

The first Friday night encounter of the league season is on 7th October v Rotherham Titans which will double as the Club’s annual Armed Forces and Emergency Services night.

For the sixth season running the Blues will be offering completely free entry to Goldington Road to any serving member of the armed forces or the emergency services, more details to be announced shortly.

Ladies Day will close our home October match run on the 15th against Dragons Prem Select. It was 2007 when the Blues first turned pink to raise funds for breast cancer charities and this year the club will once again be donating to the cause as they invite Bedford’s female fans through the turnstiles to help show their support for Cancer Research UK.

Gates open at midday and there will be 2-for-1 entry for all ladies on the day as well as complimentary rosé wine and canapés on arrival to the marquee before the game kicks off at 3pm - while stocks last that is!

The event will see a host of other treats available in the marquee throughout the day including beauty treatments - courtesy of 5th Avenue Hair and Beauty Spa, live music, cakes from Crumbs, and much, much more. There will also be many opportunities to get your hands on some exclusive prizes through the raffle, auction and there will also be a best-dressed competition following the match sponsored by match day partners Fire Safety Services.
