Bedford Blues have named their 22 man squad to take on Richmond in the Greene King IPA Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Following last weekend's disappointing 22-40 home defeat to Doncaster Knights, the Blues will be looking to bounce back against Richmond who they defeated 34-14 at Goldington Road back in October.

The Blues squad has been boosted by the arrival of two talented youngsters who have joined on dual-registration from Northampton Saints. Lock Jordan Onojaife, who picked up international honours with England Under 18s before being called up to the Under 20 squad for the 2013 Junior World Championship in New Zealand, goes straight into the second row while winger Howard Packman, who has represented England at Under 16, Under-17 and Under-18 levels as well featuring in every match in the 2014 Under 20s Six Nations Championship, is named on the bench.

Elsewhere, Myles Dorrian moves to outside centre while Jordan Burns and Jake Sharp get the nod as the half back combination and Dan George starts at hooker.

Disappointingly, the Blues have suffered a blow with news that club captain Michael Le Bourgeois has been subject to a citing and subsequent six week ban by the RFU as a result of an accidental incident in last week’s game versus Doncaster. The Club are waiting on the full judgement to come through before making any further comment.
