Bedford Blues will be looking to end the year on a high as they get set to face Moseley on Boxing Day at Billesley Common.

The Blues and Moseley were involved in a cracking encounter at Goldington Road earlier in the season which saw Bedford racking up a 38-32 win over their Midlands opponents who will certainly be looking for revenge this time around.

Bedford go into the game on the back of a 34-17 British & Irish Cup win over Bristol last weekend which saw the Blues running in five tries against the league leaders in an enthralling encounter.

Looking ahead to the game, Blues Defence Coach Ian Vass said: "The lads showed great spirit to overcome Bristol last weekend especially when you remember that they had put 50 points on us down at Ashton Gate the week before. While it is always great to score tries, I was obviously really pleased with our defensive effort which was one of our best of the season.

"But that was last week in the cup and now we need to look ahead to a tough challenge in the league against Moseley who are an extremely dangerous outfit. The game was a little too loose for my liking earlier in the season with ten tries being scored so from a defensive perspective we need to be better.

"There is sure to be a good atmosphere on Boxing Day, so we must stick to our game plan and give our sizeable travelling fans plenty to shout about."

The Blues make four changes in all from last week's starting line-up with George Perkins starting on the wing in place of Dean Adamson while Sam James, Josh Buggea and Joel Conlon come in for Charlie Clare, Justin Blanchet and Paul Tupai.
