The Blues return home this weekend, after a victorious trip to Jersey, for another pivotal Championship clash against bottom of the table Rotherham Titans at Goldington Road on Saturday 7th October (Kick Off 3pm). Save £4 and book tickets online here.

Saturday will host the launch of Paul Tupai’s Testimonial Year with a party from 6pm in the Blues Marquee featuring live music from the band Blue Eyed Souls and entertainment from MC Martin Hynes amongst others.

To add extra spice, the game will also be under the TV spotlight with the RFU cameras coming to Bedford to live stream the match online.

On the pitch, Mike Rayer’s men will be weary of the threat Rotherham could bring and will not underestimate their position in the standings. The Yorkshiremen, now led by former Blues player and backs coach Andy Key, will be keen to register a first win of the campaign on Bedford soil.

Last season the Blues took the spoils against Titans both home and away, but meetings between the two have always been close affairs with the famous Premiership play-off results still living long in the loyal fan’s memory.

Team Manager, Rob Crowle, added: “There’s no easy rides in this league and we know all too well what Rotherham are capable of. Hopefully both teams will come to play and supporters can get behind the boys and create a real fortress like the Titans have had at Clifton Lane.”

Off the field, pick up a match programme on arrival and head to one of the bars to soak up the atmosphere. Our choice would be the upstairs Eagle Bar for a pint of Bedford’s Eagle IPA or why not try a new regular on the taps; Greene King IPA who will be sponsoring the match.

There are still spaces in the Blues Marquee for just £28 per person (excluding match ticket) for a three-course pre-match meal and entertainment with current Blues players. To book into hospitality email

This week’s SSG Services Guard of Honour are Framlingham College Prep School from Suffolk, please give them, the Bedford Bear and mascots for the day; Monty Pool and Luke Fordham, a loud welcome to the Blues as the teams run out.

Post-game we’ve got two choices for you; either head to the Blues Marquee for the Anglian Fasteners’ Man of the Match presentation or pop upstairs to the Eagle Bar for the Michael R Peters Final Whistle. This season you can ask the questions yourself and win a pint in the process!

Don’t forget to pop into the Club Shop with more new leisurewear arrivals this Saturday (Season Tickets still receive a 10% discount off all items). Located next to the marquee pop in to show your colours or buy online by clicking here.
