BLUES V LONDON SCOTTISH PREVIEW

Bedford Blues will be kicking off 2016 against London Scottish not only in front of the Goldington Road faithful, but also in front of Sky Sports viewers around the world.

The Blues head into the New Year's Day fixture - which kicks off at 3.05pm - off the back of a Boxing Day victory over Moseley and a British & Irish Cup win over Bristol.

Looking ahead to the game, Blues Backs Coach Paul Larkin said: "While we have enjoyed a good festive period so far, we know that there is a huge task ahead of us against London Scottish who picked up a 24-12 win over us earlier this season.

"The lads have trained well all week and everyone is really excited about running out in front of a large New Year's Day crowd at Goldington Road. Everyone in the squad is really pushing hard for a starting jersey and as a result we've had to make a few tough calls but the 22 we have selected are in great form and looking forward to the challenge ahead."

Bedford make four changes to the team that overcame Moseley on Boxing Day with Tom Griffiths and Jake Sharp starting at inside centre and fly half while Charlie Clare and Phil Boulton come in at hooker and tighthead prop.
