Bedford Blues return home on Saturday 31st January after a three-week break from their home fortress as they prepare to take on Championship play-off contenders and third placed London Scottish at Goldington Road this weekend (KO 3pm).

Following a superb start to 2015, winning vital games against Moseley and Doncaster Knights, Bedford experienced their first loss of the year last time out away at Rotherham Titans and will need a sizeable and loud home crowd to cheer them to victory versus a team with lofty Premiership ambitions.

When the two teams last met at the Richmond Athletic Ground, back in September, a controversially disallowed try saw a newly formed Bedford squad just miss out on what would have been an incredible second half fight-back as they left the capital with two losing bonus points. The resurgent Blues will be out to exact revenge for that result having fell just short at 36-30 with Mike Rayer hoping to cement a position in the top half of the Championship table.

In order to ensure Blues’ supporters get the most from their match day experience, there will be live music in the marquee following the final whistle. Sit back and soak up the post-match atmosphere with friends and family as guitarist and singer Mark Calder provides the perfect Saturday night entertainment for all to enjoy.

There is just one hospitality table still available for the match, and at just £25 a head (excluding ticket), why not treat yourself to a three-course lunch in the marquee before taking your place in the crowd to cheer on the boys. For more details please email

For the ale connoisseurs make sure you pop up to the Eagle Bar to sample this week’s Guest Ale; Wells Bombardier, The Colonel’s Choice!

Gates open at 12 noon, ready for kick off at 3pm. Tickets are available online with a £2 discount at or from the gate on match day. The Club are hoping the town will once again be out in force to cheer on the Blues ahead of back to back home games, this Saturday’s match is sponsored by Ace Fire & Security.
