Bedford Blues have launched their new second jersey ahead of the new season which will be worn for the first time this Saturday against European Champions Saracens and available to purchase from the club shop or online.

The design mirrors the home strip which was introduced last season, with the traditional Bedford hoops still featured in a modern style. The biggest change is to the primary colour as the Blues will be running out in a white shirt this season with white shorts and socks.

The new jersey has been launched in collaboration with kit suppliers Zoo Sports and renewing main sponsor, Blue Chip - who provide high quality support for IBM mid-range systems and are a leading facilitator in Cloud Computing strategies and virtualisation.

The Club are thankful to other renewing shirts sponsors in Lifesure Group Insurance, Fire Safety Services, The Eagle Brewery (now owned by Marston’s), Dovecote Park, Stonbury, Anglian Fasteners and Progress Skoda.

There is one additional new sponsor added to the jersey sleeves in local Bedford business, JJS Manufacturing, an Electronics Manufacturing Services partner specialising in end-to-end procurement, manufacture and supply chain solutions.

Speaking about the new kit, Blues Director of Rugby, Mike Rayer said: “It great to launch the new shirt against the European Champions this weekend, it’s a quality jersey and the lads are looking forward to wearing it in front of the home crowd for a change.”
