The Blues Academy return to Goldington Road this weekend when they welcome the Irish Exiles U19 squad, on Sunday November 23rd, KO 2pm.

After a good win last week, away to the Cambridge University U21 XV, Bedford again rotate their squad with four players returning to the side from injury, and also make a number of positional changes,

In the back line Aaron Martin comes in at outside centre, with Ben Meaden moving from centre to full back and Jack Stapley moving from full back to wing.  Tom Whiteley and Chris Easton start again at half back.  In the pack Ben Wilkinson starts at hooker, Joe Brock returns from injury at flanker, with Josh Fadden moving from the flank to 2nd row.  At No. 8 Steffan Wiggin returns from Eastern Counties duty, with Ollie Robinson switching to open side.  Joe Brock captains the side.

Bedford Academy Director, Denis Ormesher said …. “We were pleased with the performance against Cambridge University last week, although we still need to work more on our defence and our game management.  We have worked hard on this at training this week, and are looking forward to putting this into practice against the Exiles.”
