ACADEMY FLY HALF SELECTED FOR ENGLAND U18

Congratulations to Blues Academy fly half, Dan Lewis, who has been selected for the England U18 Clubs & Schools XV.

Lewis, who is studying for his "A" levels at St. Joseph's College Ipswich, has been selected after captaining the London & S.E. Divisional side in the England trials at the weekend.  He follows in the footsteps of Academy full back Aaron Morris, who was selected for England U18 Clubs & Schools last season, and who has moved on to the Blues 1st XV and the England U20 squad this season.

Lewis is one of seven Academy players who have been selected to train with the Blues 1st XV for some sessions as part of their development over the last couple of months.

Academy Director, Denis Ormesher, said ...."We are delighted for Dan.  He has matured as a player over the last six months.  He works hard and, if he continues to develop as he has, he has a good rugby future in front of him.  Dan's selection means he will probably play against his Blues team mates when the Academy play against the England U18 Clubs & Schools XV at the end of March."

Lewis starts at fly half for the Academy against Loughborough University Under 21s at Goldington Road this Saturday, 1st March, KO 2.00 pm.
