The Blues Academy welcome the Irish Exiles to Goldington Road on Sunday, KO 2.00 pm.  In view of the events in Paris there will be a One Minute Silence before the game.

The Blues make ten changes (two of them positional) to the starting line that beat the RAF U23 XV last weekend.  In the pack, Ben Thompson and Ollie Pescott-Frost start at prop and Michael Bond at hooker.  Cameron Lawes starts at second row, with Jacob Moody moving back to flanker and Jacob North starting at No.8.  In the back line Olly Howard starts at scrum half, Paul Aguele returns from concussion on the wing, Max Titchener starts at full back with Liam Shields moving to centre.  The side will be captained by centre Harry Hutchins.

Blues Academy Director, Denis Ormesher, said: “After three games in nine days last week, we have had a light week of training in preparation for the Exiles game this week.  We were pleased with the results against the Navy and the RAF, although we failed to capitalise on a number of the chances we created, and at times our game management was not great.  We will be looking for the lads to be much more clinical in attack this week, and to improve their decision making.”
“We won narrowly against Irish Exiles last season in a tough game, and we expect another tough encounter this season.  The Exiles are preparing for their games against the Irish provinces as part of the Ireland selection process later this year.”

The game against the Irish Exiles is at Goldington Road on Sunday, with KO at 2.00 pm.  The scrum bar is open and all are welcome.
